Spring officially arrived this past week
I’m so excited! With spring comes floral print dresses and all things pastel. Even though they’re kind of like a spring necessity, that doesn’t mean that you have to always play by the rules and wear pastels. Why not rock something a little bolder this spring? Consider opting for a more colorful floral print instead. It doesn’t have to be big and loud, but by going against the grain, even with the color pallet you choose, you’re sure to stand out from the crowd this spring. (Here’s more spring inspo) Bolder prints as well as darker color dresses work great in the spring despite what you may think. It all comes down to styling. Styling is what takes a dress and creates an outfit. So, whether you’re all about pastels, embracing the bold and dark, or even trying to refresh an older dress this spring, I want to share some really simple styling tips. These are 3 easy ways to take your spring dress to fabulous outfit status.
Add a denim jacket- a denim jacket is the perfect outerwear item for spring! It’s just the right thickness to keep you comfy when the weather is that “warm, but not quite warm enough” temp outside. It’s also a great way to keep an outfit casual while still looking put together and fabulous. And it just looks incredibly cute layered over a spring dress! Do you need any more reasons?!
Find your statement accessories- Finding the right accessories is crucial to making your spring dress complete. Every woman is different in the kind of accessory she’s drawn to. I tend to love necklaces and rings! You can also rock a great earring, a fun spring bag, or even have your gorgeous locks be that statement accessory.
Wear a Killer heel- the last item you’ll need to finish off your spring dress is a pair of killer heels. I know “killer” can sometimes be literal when talking about heels, but I’ve actually come across some pretty comfy ones in my lifetime. The endless options can be heaven for some and pretty overwhelming for others. I love open toed heels for spring (hello, pedicures!) because they’re can be worn during the day or evening. And if you stick with a lower heel your feet will love you for it.
I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend! Thanks for reading.
