This month marks my one year blogiversary of starting Pebble & Pearl! I just can’t believe it. It was a year ago this month that I pressed that “publish” button for the first time and began this crazy thing called fashion blogging!
Pebble & Pearl began to take shape after I returned to California from my time living in London. It’s a beautiful city that became home to me like no other place has; I love it’s energy, creativity, people, coffee, and brilliant humor. One thing that I definitely didn’t expect was that by me taking the plunge and moving to my favorite city, that this would be the vehicle that would inspire me to pursue my dream! It had been a passion of mine and I let it lie dormant for far too long.
Some of you who have been following me for a while, know that I went about things a bit differently. I started this creative venture by doing an Instagram account first. It was actually never really “the plan” to become a blogger. I was a busy gal with a need for a creative outlet and was simply just looking for a way to feed that creativity inside of me. Instagram was the perfect solution– fun, simple, and a great place to master the art of selfies and flatlays! Believe it or not, my venture was something that I kept to myself for a long time. As I continued to pursue it, I discovered how much I enjoyed sharing about my love for fashion. My mindset changed from seeing it as something that I wanted to do just for me, into something that I wanted to do for other women, as well. And so began the journey of becoming a blogger…
I wanted to say a special thank you to my brother, Daniel. The fact that I’ve been able to do this for a year is kind of a miracle because I don’t have a tech savvy bone in my body! This could’ve been a big problem, since like 90% of blogging has to do with computers, but this guy always saves the day. He has been there for me through this journey like no other person has. He gives me support, not just the technical kind; ), inspires me with new ideas and cheers me on. Daniel built my website, attempts to teach me about things like code and keywords and is always there to help me move closer to my dreams. I can’t ever thank him enough!
I am still learning all the time and have a long way to go! I want to say thank you for your support of Pebble & Pearl! Never in my life could I have dreamed that I would get to know so many beautiful people, gain so many wonderful friendships, and have an entire community of creative people who are always bringing inspiration to my life.
